“We work with different families who are referred to us at the community center. One reason is that they have panic attacks or anxiety issues, and we were able to allow them to work with dogs, to touch the dog, and to express their emotions. So we work with them on words, and dogs work with them emotionally. , ”Said committee chairwoman Linda Perez.

He explained how the treatment is done.

“They can touch the dog, they can feel the dog, they can have that eye contact. It’s so cool. The animals are absorbing everything they feel at once, it makes them very relaxed,” he said.

Perez explained that his organization is partners with other groups that train therapeutic dogs and that they are willing to stay with victims long enough when the news starts to come.

Along with the bilingual group, the group operates in Spanish and English – a reflection of the Miami area, home to Jewish and Latin American immigrants.

“We work with families from Argentina. There were more than four families from Argentina last night. There was a family (community) center in Paraguay. People from Houston, Texas – we were with them yesterday. It doesn’t matter what your nationality is. What we want to do is make our hearts up with this little gesture.
