The young new millionaire was just 25 and dropped out of college at 19 years old

Six years after leaving MIT, Alexander Wang became the youngest billionaire in the world at the age of 25. The young man enrolled at MIT to study machine learning, and began the scale after his new year at Y Combinator’s investment.

Wang explained that he had told his parents that this would be an act he would do in the summer, however he never came back.

How did Wang become the youngest millionaire?

The young man grew up in the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, the secret location where the United States developed its first atomic bomb during World War II.

Wang’s parents were directly involved in the development of physicists and military bomb projects. Currently, he is following in his parents’ footsteps.

His company, Scale AI, a six-year-old based in San Francisco, has already concluded three deals worth US $ 110 million (R $ 529 million) at the request of the US government to help. US Army and Air Force use artificial intelligence.

The scale not only benefits the military, its technology analyzes satellite images much faster than human analysts to determine how much damage Russian bombs can cause in Ukraine, so the general public will also benefit.

Currently, more than 300 companies use the scale, including those already known as General Motors and Flexport. In such cases, the technology used by Wang allows large corporations to extract gold from rivers of source information, such as millions of shipping documents or pictures of self-driving cars.

Wang explained that “every industry handles a huge amount of data” and therefore Scale’s goal is to “open up the potential of data and turbocharge their business with artificial intelligence”.

During his childhood, Wang was a mathematical genius who entered national math and coding competitions. In 6th grade, he entered his first national competition with the aim of getting a free ticket to Disney World, although although he did not finish first, he did get a trip into the wizarding world.

At age 17, he worked full-time coding at Quora on the Q&A site, where he met Scale co-founder Lucy Kuo.

In 2021, the value of a reporting scale was $ 7.3 billion. Wang’s estimated 15% stake is worth US $ 1 billion, making him the youngest billionaire in the world.

Second on the list of billionaires is 25-year-old Pedro Franசிois, co-founder of Brazil.
