A building partially collapsed early Thursday morning (24) off the coast of Miami, Florida. United States. Firefighters and police work on the site.
Authorities still do not know if there are victims or how many people live in the building. The reason for the fall is also not clear.
More than 80 Miami-Date firefighters rushed to the scene, including technical rescue teams. In the pictures you can see the rescued people in an area of the collapsed building.
“We’re on the scene, so it’s still active,” Miami-Tate Fire Department Sergeant Marion Cruise told the Associated Press. “All I can tell you is that the building is twelve stories. The whole back of the building collapsed.”.

The building is on Collins Avenue, and the condominium has a sea view. (See below). It was built in 1981 on the southeast corner of the Surface on the beachfront.
Surface is a suburb of Miami Beach, an island city connected by bridges to the mainland of Miami. Both counties are located in the Miami-Date District of South Florida.
Police say some two-bedroom units are currently on the market, trading at prices ranging from 000 600,000 to 000 700,000 (currently priced between PRL 3 million and PRL 3.5 million).
The area is a mix of new and old apartments, houses, condos and hotels, as well as restaurants and shops offering a mix of international residents and tourists.
Police cordoned off nearby streets, and dozens of fire engines, ambulances and police cars responded to the emergency..
