Satellite images released on Tuesday (9) show a major breakthrough in the construction of the Chinese military aircraft carrier at the Jiangnan Shipyard, which will have equipment that will bring it almost to the level of its North American counterparts.
According to image analysis by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the ship, known as Depot 003, will be ready in three to six months.
The shipyard where the ship is being built is used for the production of military and merchant ships. China Sells to other countries.

About 40 ships to be manufactured at the Jiangnan shipyard by 2024 include ships ordered by Brazil in addition to France, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
According to CSIS, the images released on Tuesday were taken on October 23, and at one point since September 18, two large openings in the ship’s deck have been sealed. These gaps allowed large internal components such as machinery and power stations to be inserted into the overlay.

The closure indicates that the initial installation of key internal components is complete, they report. However, they note that the rear opening is not on par with other parts of the deck.
Unlike the previous two aircraft carriers built on the site, the Leoning and Shandong Type 003 (without an official name yet) will have three catapults that will help launch the aircraft rather than stylish take-off systems. Ski jumping, low progress.

This change would allow the launch of heavier payloads and more fuel-efficient aircraft, as well as larger aircraft with lower propulsion-weight ratios.
Most catapult systems are powered by steam, but according to CSIS, the U.S. Navy’s new Gerald R. China is rumored to have developed an electromagnetic launch system for Ford aircraft carriers.
However, despite the prediction that the 003 type may be ready by February 2022, according to US Department of Defense estimates, it may take longer to become fully operational.
