“Mary was one of the best actresses I’ve ever met,” Dorfman said. “I still remember seeing her on stage in 1992 in ‘Mad Forest’ Off-Broadway. She was electric, fun, and real personal. Everyone loved her. We’ll miss her.”
“Initial investigation indicates that the victim drowned while swimming,” the police said.
The police added in their statement that there were no signs of tampering. The Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to perform an autopsy to determine the official cause of death, according to police.
Mara had a roster of credits that spanned television and movies, including multi-episode roles on shows like “Dexter,” “The Practice,” and “Star Trek: Enterprise.” She was arguably most famous for her roles in “Nash Bridges”, “ER” and “Ray Donovan”.
Mara’s film credits have included “Mr. Saturday Night” and “Love Potion #9.” Her latest credit was for the 2020 movie, “Break Even.”
