The Tibetan Mastiff breed is one of the rarest in the world and is considered difficult to find outside of China. With its abundant fur and its giant size, it can measure up to 80 centimeters tall and weigh 70 kilograms.

The case took place in Yunnan province in 2018, but the story recently went viral on the internet. A village-dwelling family bought what they thought was a dog while on vacation in 2016. The family got scared and got suspicious and informed the authorities. That’s when it was discovered that the “dog” was actually an endangered Asiatic black bear.
