Horror buffs have been made physically ill by Fall.
The survival thriller follows two friends, Becky (Grace Caroline Curie) and Hunter (Virginia Gardner), who climb a 2,000-foot radio tower and become stranded at the top with no way down.
While it was released in the US last summer, it was recently added to Netflix, with new viewers discovering it in recent days.
It’s not a movie for the faint of heart, with viewers taking to Twitter to say it left them physically ill.
Common complaints from viewers are overwhelming feelings of jitters, nausea, and anxiety, particularly with those who have a fear of heights.
Taking to Twitter, viewers wrote: “It actually gave me a tension headache. a really entertaining hour’; ‘I saw this yesterday.’ I didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised…and horrified! Suddenly a new fear of heights. I was a little disappointed at the end, just felt it was a bit rushed. ‘;
“I had sweaty palms for about two minutes after I got stuck to the end. Not the best movie to watch if you’re afraid of heights. ‘; “It made me feel so sick, I had to pause the movie, to take a break from the terrible feeling. highest marks.
“I hid behind a pillow for most of this movie, and thought I was OK with heights…probably not!” ; I got dizzy just watching the trailer. Don’t think this will go well for me;
“Good movie… made me vomit and have a panic attack, but good”; “I saw this in the theatres, when I tell you my hands were pouring from this whole movie”; “Watching ‘Fall’ on Netflix…. I don’t think I’ve been so stressed out in my entire life!”
The film was positively received by critics and currently holds a score of 79 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Empire Magazine gave the film four stars, with reviewer John Nugent writing: ‘This is a fun throwback thriller, one concerned only with making your palms soak with sweat and your adrenal glands go into overdrive. In those modest goals, he is completely successful.
The Observer Wendy Ide awarded it three stars, noting: ‘Even if you don’t suffer from vertigo, there are moments in Scott Mann’s thriller — the one-handed selfie while hanging from a rusty net 2,000 feet in the sky, for example. – It’s almost unwatchable.
She added, “While the pace does falter a bit — there are only so many ways you can fall off a tower, after all — the tension is relentless.”
It’s the latest horror movie to spark a strong physical reaction after fans revealed they were horrified and sickened by the “disturbing” new movie The Outwaters.
The indie flick was released earlier this month and has already been making a huge impact on critics, garnering rave reviews.
But viewers were so moved and concerned by the blockbuster, they took to Twitter to reveal their shock.
In The Outwaters, directed by Robbie Banevich, things turn spooky after a camping trip in the Mojave Desert goes wrong.
All four campers, who are trying to shoot a music video in the desert, are exposed to horrific events including strange animal behavior and vibrations.
