Indie success UnderTale took the world by storm when it released on PC in 2015. It is now available on nearly every platform and, come September, it will land on the Switch.
Pre-orders are already under-way, with two different physical editions available. The standard edition – including the game and a 24 page story booklet – is currently on pre-order for $29 on fangamer and will be available to purchase at certain stores.
Splash out a bit more and for $69 you can snag the collectors edition, sold exclusively on fangamer. This amazing edition includes: the standard game, 2 CDs (containing over 100 songs), sheet music booklet, a 14K gold-plated brass music box locket and a matchbox-style collectors box.
These amazing physical additions will also be available on PC, Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita. A digital copy will also be available for the Switch, but any fan of Undertale would be mad to not get themselves some of these exclusive goodies!
If Undertale is new to you, now is a good a time as ever to give it a go. This quirky RPG has earned it self high praise with 10/10 scores from IGN and Steam, coupled with a glowing review from Eurogamer. Designed by Toby Fox, Undertale is pitched as an RPG game where you don’t have to destroy anyone. The option to do so is solely the players choice.
While the game is said not to be shipped until September, no definitive date has been given. Regardless, as it was initially released on 15th September 2015 and the devs announced it will be available on that date in Japan for the Nintendo console, we might get a major update about the occidental world soon!
We can’t say when will it be just yet and can only hope for a new update with the upcoming Gamescom. This, however, is mere speculation!
In the meantime, if you want to try the game on PC and support The Indie Toaster as you do it, you can find Undertale on the Humble Store for a little less than 10$ (or your regional equivalent)!
