Since Raw Fury first announced it, Bad North struck a chord with me. To be sincere, vikings, beautiful kingdoms, and RTS tend to do that! I’ve been dying to try the game  and spent hours on the internet looking for a release date!

Alas, I had no luck. The Swedish publisher kept this one well under wraps, at least until today. In a short blog post, the company explained why Plausible Concept‘s latest game still doesn’t have a launch date. Let’s discover that together!

Raw Fury: “Our Lips Are Sealed!”

The truth is that Bad North’s birthday was already decided a while ago. Raw Fury simply couldn’t tell us because of a secret they promised to keep. Thanks to a collaboration, the game will be one of the launch titles for the newest Discord Store – the same the company unveiled only a few hours ago!

Although that doesn’t equal to a precise date, this fragment of information tells us something: Bad North is still coming in Summer 2018. With Gamescom only a few days away, I’d speculate an on-stage reveal might take place in Cologne!

What Exactly Is Bad North Anyway?

A “beautifully-crafted, minimalistic, real-time tactics roguelite”, Bad North promises to takes us back to the 10th century, when Viking raiders wreaked havoc all along North Britain. The game will sport dynamic islands to clear, adorable soldiers to lead into battle, and nobles in distress to keep an eye on.

The indie title’s cute looks shouldn’t deceive us, though. A massive conflict is about to come to those lands. We will have to gather supplies, form new alliances, and count on the ability of each of our warriors if we hope to survive. After its PC release, Bad North will also be available on consoles at some point!

In the meantime, you can wishlist the game on Steam here. Remember, though, that Bad North will be published to Discord before it hits the shelves anywhere else!
