This year, The Indie Toaster will be at the Milan Games Week 2018. One of the major video game events in Italy, which will see us walking through the pavilions to try new things and chat with many promising developers.

In two days, the doors of Rho Fiera will open to all video-games, cosplay and eSports fans, with a program that will include competitions, conferences and meet & greet. Among all, the event will feature David Cage, CEO and founder of Quantic Dream, the studio that gave us titles like Beyond: Two Souls, Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain and many others.

Promoted by AESVI, the Italian Association of Video Game Developers and Publishers, MGW2018 has some surprises in store, particularly in the area that will be exclusively dedicated to indie titles!

The Milan Games Week 2018 Indie Area

In case you’re at the event, there is a high chance that you will find us right within the Indie area of MGW 2018. The offer in this regard is really interesting this year, and includes games like All-Star Fruit Racing – kart game with fruit as the protagonist – or Another Sight, an interesting puzzle game that we talked about in Italian a short time ago.

Other local projects are Bacterica, by Indie Construction; Footprint Games’ Detective Gallo, and Fly Punch Boom: a project with a very fluid and fun combat system. In addition to the ones mentioned above, there will be many other very promising games which we will definitely have to try!

We also want to talk about a smaller event that will be held around Milan Games Week 2018, organized by AESVI and Epic Games. If you’re interested in it, hurry up and book now: places are limited!

On Friday 5, there will be a meeting on Unreal at the NH Hotel in Rho Fiera, where Sjoerd De Jong himself will share tips on the engine and on how to best succeed in the semi-professional indie development market.
