Justice of Modena, il ItalyBrazilian Condemnation Pamela AndrusFour years and eight months in prison for the death of the 52-year-old Italian Samantha Migliore35, during a botched breast augmentation procedure in April this year.

Andres was found guilty of death as a result of another crime, in this case, malpractice of a healthcare profession and omission to render aid. The accused had no medical training for the procedure.

The Brazilian defense reached an agreement to quickly end the trial and was notified by the local court.

This case took place on April 21 last. Migliore had undergone a breast augmentation procedure at her home in Maranello, but was unwell. Andres fled the scene and the victim’s husband, Antonio Bevilacqua, took his wife to a local hospital “with syringes still in her breasts.”

“Within minutes, she died in my arms,” Bevilacqua told local media. The Italian arrived at the hospital already lifeless.

Andres only handed himself in to the police the next day, and the defense has always denied that he was at fault in his conduct, saying the client waited for an ambulance to arrive – a claim denied by the court.

An autopsy showed Migliore died of a pulmonary embolism caused by silicone entering her lungs.
