Beyonce Haters can take several seats as much Robin S. You get worried…because Baek’s “Break My Soul” opens all kinds of doors for the ’90s hit maker.
Beyoncé’s first single from a studio album in 6 years samples the 1993 Robin smash song, “Show Me Love” — and if your ear doesn’t catch that, you’re in the minority.
Robin tells us that since the song Break fell on Tuesday, she’s been inundated with record labels, companies, and artists… all looking forward to working with her.
Get ready to hear more of the 90’s dance vibes – Robin says her team’s phones are constantly ringing with inquiries about licensing her “Show Me Love” master recordings for various purposes.
She says the calls are coming from advertising agencies, record companies, top DJs… and her team is frantically trying to screen the shows as fast as they can. So, if you’ve ever doubted that Beyoncé’s influence is a real thing, Robin can attest.
Most importantly, she is happy and grateful to have been given her blooms while she is still here… an honor not many artists have.
She says “Show Me Love” is her legacy, and for an artist to recognize Queen B and appreciate her music is one of the highest compliments ever.
Robin is already hugely popular — she’s currently traveling across North America and Europe on a tour that’s sold out through August — but Bey has added new revenue stream opportunities.
We’ll see where Beyoncé’s song tops, but – for the record – Robin OG’s track hit #5 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
