A 6-year-old girl has died after being bitten by a snake while sitting in the bathroom of her home in Saudi Arabia. The victim’s family, identified as Tamara Abdul Rahman, said the presence of the reptile was unexpected because it was not uncommon to find that type of animal in the residential area of Aba where they live.
After the bite, the girl was taken to Asir Central Hospital, but her health soon deteriorated. Even on the day of the accident, on Wednesday (29), he was transferred to bed in the intensive care unit (ICU) and died a few hours later, the British newspaper The Sun reported.
Tamara’s father, who refused to be identified, said the woman should not have checked the toilet and regretted that the girl was too happy to return to classroom after being closed by the Govt-19 infection.
“She enjoyed teaching face-to-face in school, but what can I say? It is the will of Allah,” her father said. “I believe in Allah and I am satisfied with everything. He writes for us,” he added.
“The snake was hiding in the bathroom of our house. Due to her age (Tamara), she did not notice that she was in the bathroom until she was bitten,” the person said, adding that the case took place in a densely populated area with a population of more than 200,000.
Although not found in Aba, the desert and mountainous regions of Saudi Arabia are known for their strong presence of snakes, including the carpet viper, the Persian horn viper and the horn viper. The species that bit the baby has not yet been identified.
