At least 10 people, including nine children and an adult, were killed in a car crash in Alabama on Saturday. 18 vehicles were involved in the accident. Authorities suspect drivers have lost control of their vehicles due to the storm.
A tropical storm hit the cladding in the southeastern United States, which has already caused flooding and hurricanes. Cars may have lost their grip on the asphalt due to aquaplaning, thus causing a pile.

One of the vehicles involved in the crash was a van with eight children and youths between the ages of 4 and 17. The vehicle belonged to an association that provides assistance to school-age girls who have been abused or neglected.
The crash happened on Interstate 65 between Greenville and Ford Deposit. The van driver survived. Wayne Carlock, the representative in charge of the investigation, was able to remove him from the burning vehicle in a timely manner.
A 29-year-old man and his daughter, a nine-month-old baby, died in another car. Many were injured.
